Numerology: Your Life Path Number

Numbers as a mirror

Numerology is the old and playful practice of finding meaning in numbers. Its best-known figure is the life path number, worked out from your date of birth. Each number, from 1 to 9 plus the master numbers 11, 22 and 33, carries its own character: the starter, the peacemaker, the storyteller, the builder and so on. People use these sketches the way they use a horoscope or a tarot card, as a mirror for thinking about themselves.

How Omoy works it out

We use one method across the whole site, called segment reduction: the month, day and year are each reduced to a single digit (keeping 11 and 22), the three are added, and the total is reduced until it reaches a single digit or the master numbers 11, 22 or 33. The calculator shows every step, so you can follow the arithmetic. Other numerologists use other methods, and some dates come out differently depending on the school.

Private by design

Your birth date is handled only in your browser. Omoy never receives it, stores it or links it to you.

Reading the profiles

Each number page covers core traits, strengths, challenges, career leanings and love style, plus lucky colours and a few questions for reflection. Read your own, then read the numbers of the people close to you. You may find the differences more interesting than the matches.

Numerology on Omoy is offered for entertainment and reflection only. It describes tendencies to think about, not facts about your future.
